Kids & Nursery
Jesus took time to be with children, blessed them and held them up as examples of humility! At Grace Downtown we are committed to caring for children in ways that reflect their God-given dignity. The Children’s Ministry provides a safe, nurturing environment that contributes to our kids’ well-being and complements the care they receive at home. We strive to show children God’s love, teach them the story of his work in the world and help them discover what it means to live in relationship with him.
Nursery (0–3 Years)
The Grace DC Nursery is for children 0–3 years old. The Nursery workers and volunteers provide a caring and safe environment for each child. We hope that our loving care for the little ones in our community will enable parents to participate in our worship services and become active members of our community, as well as help them experience the love of God. Each Grace DC member is required to volunteer in the nursery about twice a year.

Note: All parents must pick up their kids, from either nursery or Children’s Church, in person.
Children’s Church (4–10 Years)
Designed for ages 4&ndash10, Children’s Church takes place each week during the Sunday service. About halfway through our regular worship service, we pray for the children and dismiss them to their classes. Through lessons designed to be simple enough to grasp but challenging enough to linger in their minds, children learn about the nature of God and who Jesus is. Lessons include arts and crafts, scripture memorization, singing, snacks and a variety of activities.
We have many volunteers who share the privilege of teaching our children. If you are interested in becoming a part of this team, you will be asked to serve about once every three months.

Nursery Care : for 0–3 years is located in the Children’s Wing on the ground floor of Calvary Baptist.
Childrens’ Church : for ages 4–10 is located in the Children’s Wing on the ground floor (near the nursery). Children are dismissed from the worship service just prior to the sermon.
