Thank you for your interest in learning more about our community! Our desire is to experience (explore and believe) the grace and mercy of God, and in turn extend it to the people around us in our church community, neighborhoods, and city.

We welcome anyone and everyone who want to join us in the journey toward this goal. We hope as you explore you will find the answers to some of your questions about what we believe and where we are going. If you still have questions, feel free to email Erika our Communications and Events Coordinator, or whichever staff/elder you may find relevant.
Our 5pm Sunday worship service is the central weekly event in our Grace DC community. Though lasting only about an hour and a half, this gathering is nothing less than a weekly foretaste of heaven: the place where we experience God’s powerful presence, enjoy the company of his family, recall the promises of grace he offers us through Jesus Christ, and give him the adoration and loyalty he deserves. God has created us as whole persons, and we owe him everything we have; it’s appropriate, therefore, that we engage with him with our whole selves—our mind, heart, and will—in a rich variety of ways. So, at times our worship service requires our thinking and reflection; at other times, authentic emotional response; at other times, action and movement. We sit, we stand, we listen, we speak, we grieve over our sin, we rejoice in the gospel, we pray out loud, we reflect in silence, we give, we receive. But every Sunday and in every part of our services, we hope to encounter Christ in his imminence and his transcendence, responding to him with both intimacy and awe.

If you’re looking into Christianity, we hope you’ll join us sometime.
We always expect people of various dispositions towards Christianity to be present at our services, so we do our best to explain what we’re doing at each point in the service. In fact, we think that participating in Christian worship can be one of the best ways you can learn about the Christian faith. So if you’re looking into Christianity, we hope you’ll join us sometime soon. We even have a large balcony if you prefer to just observe.

In case you’re interested in learning more about what we do in our worship services and why, we wanted to offer you a few resources below. Of course, the best way to learn about corporate worship at Grace DC is to participate in person. So we welcome you to visit and hope to meet you soon!
