“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” This is one of Jesus’ more well-known declarations, and it has profound implications for the way we treat our work, conduct our relationships and live our lives. However, this message—that we can stop our deepest struggles, that we don’t need to earn some kind of justification for our existence—is utterly at odds with the way we’re prone to live.
