Is Marriage Over?

Calvary Baptist | Saturday, May 19 | 10:00am – 12:00pm | View Calendar
The latest statistics show more and more people are choosing to delay or opt out of marriage. Marriage is seen as less beneficial to or unnecessary for a fulfilling life. Yet the Bible shows God creating and blessing the institution of marriage. What’s behind this cultural change? Why is marriage unappealing to so many? What does it mean to live well in marriage or out of it (single)? How does the Christian faith offer insight and hope? Join us as we discuss these and other questions regarding marriage.

Practical Neighboring

Grace DC Office | Mondays, April 2, 9 & 16 | 7:00 – 9:00pm | View Calendar
How can I really help my neighbor? Whether a struggling member of a Community Group, a homeless man on a street corner, or a neighbor who can’t keep up with the bills, need surrounds us. Should I give money, point them to the experts, or something else? Building on principles discussed in the Winter Term course “Serving our Neighbors,” this discussion-based class will address how to come alongside someone in need and assist them in ways that respect their dignity and our weakness. Each of the sessions will focus on practical examples to give context to our guiding principles. Winter Term attendance is not required to participate.
