Counseling
The gospel doesn’t just tell us that the world around us is broken—its assurance of God’s love also gives us the strength and courage necessary to take an honest look at ourselves. When we do, we may discover wounds that run deeper than we expected or struggles that are larger than we know how to handle.
In these times, we have the comfort of knowing that God wants to bring healing even to the most broken areas of our lives. Grace DC’s counseling services are one resource available to help you work through acute struggles or difficulties. Our staff counselor, Dr. Jackie Griffith, provides compassionate, professional help from a biblical perspective.
Our staff counselor and our referring partners in the DC metro area are available by appointment. You can find more information, including availability, fees and insurance information, below.

Premarital Counseling
Preparing for Marriage SeminarTo start the process of premarital counseling, our Preparing for Marriage seminar series lays the groundwork before premarital counseling. We welcome anyone pondering those “long term” questions in their relationship to take this class; you are not required to be engaged or dating to attend this seminar. Find dates for the next available class here >> After taking that seminar, Grace Downtown members can pursue premarital counseling with one of our pastors as schedules allow. Due to the high number of marriages in our community, we are only able to provide counseling and perform marriage ceremonies for members of Grace Downtown. |
We recommend several resources for anyone preparing for marriage:
- Read Getting Ready for Lifetime of Love by C. Michael Smith
- Glenn’s sermon series on marriage
