Women’s Leadership Council Book Talk

Tags: , | Date: February 24 2018

The Women’s Leadership Council invites you to gather with other women in the Grace DC community to explore four practices that sustain a healthy community: gratitude, promise-keeping, truthfulness, and hospitality.

Whether it is our family, our church, or our work, each of us desires to be a part of communities that are flourishing. So let’s talk about the role we play in making that happen. To guide our conversation, we will use the book, Living Into Community: Cultivating Practices That Sustain Us by Christine D. Pohl. This is a beautiful text that reminds us that “The character of our shared life together . . . has the power to draw people to the kingdom or push them away.”

But exploring these four practices is not the only reason you should attend. We also hope you’ll come to encourage and be encouraged by other women who are trying to figure out what it means to live faithfully before our Lord. We need each other, sisters, and God often uses simple gatherings like these to work in profound ways. More details coming soon, but for now mark your calendars, order the book, and enjoy this great text.
