Care Team Serves New Families

There is a “baby boom” at Grace DC Downtown and we need your help! Contact our Care Team Leaders, Diana to sign up to help make a meal for these new families or to find out other ways to serve with the Care Team.

Volunteer with AGAP

The Anacostia Gracious Arts Program (AGAP), an after-school arts program for children living in the Anacostia community and supported by Grace DC, seeks volunteers for its Monday afternoon/evening sessions for the upcoming school semester. If you have talent or teaching abilities in the area of dance, drama, music or the visual arts, or would just like to spend time mentoring children who desperately need role models, please contact Mark Polston. Check out AGAP’s new website, agapdc.org, to find out more about AGAP.

Affordable Housing

Do you wonder how God’s justice and mercy call us to come alongside those in DC facing housing challenges?  Have ideas?  Contact Galen for more information.

City Prayer

Feel overwhelmed by the city sometimes? Want to help the needy, but don’t know how? Here’s an idea: a weekly prayer time set aside to focus on our city and mercy ministry outreach. We meet Tuesday mornings at 7:15am at the church office. We pray for teachers in the Grace DC community the first Tuesday of every month.  If you’re a teacher, we would love to support you in this way. Please contact Yan.  Other questions?  Contact Joe or click here for other prayer opportunities.

Graduate Student?

If you are a Christian graduate student in a university in or near Washington, DC and would like to meet other Christian graduate students on campus, please contact Kevin Offner (koffner@verizon).

Like Wine?

The Communion Team needs you! We’re looking for volunteers to help set-up and clean-up the communion elements on a rotational basis. Contact Abby for more info.

Social Butterfly?

The Fourth Friday Dinner Team is looking for new leaders! Help connect newcomers and oldcomers alike by facilitating dinners once a month across the city. Interested? Contact Mosheh for more information.

Looking for a way to serve Grace Downtown?

Our Library Team, Communion Set-Up Team, Coffee Hour Team, and ICU Team are all in need of volunteers. Learn more about each of these teams on our ministry teams page and contact the leader to get involved!
