As the gospel calls us to love the people and the place around us, our community groups aim to do that in neighborhoods all over the District. A Community Group will serve as one’s “primary community" within Grace DC. That is, it will be the first and main place people can go to work the gospel into daily life, build mutually supportive relationships, invite friends who are looking into Christianity, and serve the needs of our local neighbors. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to commit to a group in your home neighborhood or, if you live in Virginia or Maryland, to “adopt" a neighborhood in the District.

Guidelines for joining a group:

1. Find ONE group using the map below and/or the list of groups below.

2. Choose a group that is either in or close to your home neighborhood, or for those of you in Virginia or Maryland, “adopt" a neighborhood in the District.

3. Contact the group leaders by clicking “sign up" on that group’s listing on the map. The leaders will give you further information and guidance on the best method of transportation.

-If you desire to be in a community group, but work evenings or travel during the week, we have a group that meets on Sunday afternoons before church. See below for more information.

- If you live in Adams Morgan, Columbia Heights, or Mount Pleasant, we are currently starting a church plant (i.e., a start-up congregation) in your neighborhood that will be part of the broader Grace DC community and is already starting to gather for meetings. The church plant’s Community Groups will focus on serving these neighborhoods, so there will no longer be Grace DC Downtown groups associated with these three neighborhoods. Residents of Columbia Heights, Mount Pleasant, and Adams Morgan who continue to worship Downtown will be asked to find a group of their choosing in a different neighborhood.
