Hey all, posting this for my land lady: hubby and I are moving into the new house we bought but want to help our land lady get our great apartment filled.
It says one bedroom but we’ve been here almost 3 years and now have a baby, so you can tell it is spacious. Street is very neighborly, and SO many amenities within easy distance: grocery store, metro (green/yellow), bus (G2, 70/71), library and restaurants and coffee shops, even a farmer’s market all within three or four blocks; very easy walking distance. Kennedy rec center is a block away: tennis courts and basketball, weight room, pool table and more.
I used to walk to my office in Pen Quarter (1.3mi) every day and hubby commutes via metro. Also a nice walk to Dupont on a nice day. Easy distance to U St corridor and 9:30 club; just 10 min walk to Chinatown. Oh, and good street parking: can always get a spot easily.

My roommate and I have one room opening in our 2-story, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath townhouse a couple blocks north of Lincoln Park. It is a 10-15 minute walk from Union Station and Eastern Market (and for those who prefer the bus, it is right on the D6 line, and close to the 90/92 and the X8). Location is five blocks from H Street and convenient to the Capitol Complex. Our house has large front room with working fireplace, open & spacious kitchen, formal dining room, plenty of storage space, and backyard with patio, grill, and small lawn. W/D, dishwasher, brand new AC/heater and new energy-efficient windows in the downstairs. Utilities include wireless internet and cable and run between $75-125/person/month.
We are two women in our mid-20s who attend Church of the Rez and are looking for another laid-back, respectful roommate to move in January 1 and sign a one-year lease (required by our landlord). We love the house (have lived here 1.5 years) and have some flexibility with the room available.
