| Rev. Glenn Hoburg, Senior Pastor / Teaching Elder Glenn and Meg Hoburg came to Washington, DC in the summer of 2003 to assist with the planting of Grace DC. Their previous ministry experience working with the Presbyterian Church in America’s campus ministry (RUF) at Harvard University, and on the staff of Christ the King Presbyterian Church, Cambridge, MA, encouraged their love of cities and vision for ministry. Glenn had also lived in Boston during the age of spandex while attending Berklee College of Music. Prior to that they attended Covenant Theological Seminary and served on the staff of two churches, Christ Presbyterian in Nashville, TN (1990-1993) and Kirk of the HIlls in St. Louis (1993-1997). Glenn and Meg have two daughters, Madeline (11) and Isabelle (9). The Hoburgs are grateful and enthusiastic for the opportunity to both serve God and raise their family in Washington, DC. | Russ Whitfield, Assistant Pastor of Ministry Teams Russ took the scenic route to Washington, DC. A native of Western Pennsylvania, he attended New York University where he met a beautiful DC native named Vanessa, who would soon become his bride. Upon completion of his Bachelor of Music, Russ left the Big Apple for a far off county… Texas. While in this new land, Russ completed his M.Div. at the Dallas campus of Westminster Theological Seminary. He was also privileged to serve on the staffs of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship and Park Cities Presbyterian Church (2003-2009). This past year, Russ and Vanessa enjoyed the arrival of their sweet little girl, Tiana. The Whitfields are excited to join the Grace DC family in loving service to God and the city. If you ever need to find Russ, just listen for the sound of Motown. |

| David Noble, Assistant Pastor of Community Groups Ready to begin a new adventure, David and Tracey moved to Washington DC in January 2010 with a growing family of two girls, Olivia and Margaret. Since 1997 Tracey has faithfully followed David from New York City to California then to St. Louis, where he attended Covenant Seminary. After having been a U.S. Naval officer, a public school teacher and a consultant to the Navy, David believes he has found his true calling as a pastor, participating in God’s mission of restoration through equipping leaders, engaging culture, and proclaiming God’s Word. He longs to do this through modeling dependence upon Christ in deep relationships and around a meal, when possible. The Nobles are excited to find themselves in this great city where God’s kingdom of liberty and healing is being advanced to the nations. |

| Bob Baldwin, Ruling Elder Bob and his wife, Jean, have lived in Washington, DC since 1990. They were involved in the early stages of prayer and planning for a church plant in Washington, D.C. which resulted in the establishment of Grace DC. The challenges and blessings of being called to participate in the birth of a new church have been great. God has prodded and poked and pulled both of them into situations and relationships that have demanded and produced new insights into God’s goodness, and the truth of the Community of God that works together to pursue righteousness and justice and mercy is a growing reality for them. | Andy Neal, Ruling Elder Andy and Beth fell in love with the District and its people when they moved to DC so Beth could attend St. John’s College; especially a little eclectic group who dreamed of a church to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to a city where the weak and poor live alongside the powerful and mighty. They have enjoyed seeing their family grow as Grace DC has become a church and as God has collected people from around the United States and the world to learn love Him, one another, and DC. They have been equally grateful that God has given them two beautiful daughters. Andy is excited to see God’s renewal come to Washington, and he is humbled to serve the members of Grace DC as an elder. |

| Kevin Offner, Ruling Elder Kevin and Amy Offner, and their toddler son David, have lived in Washington, DC, since 1996. They are humbled to have been a part of Grace DC from its prayerful beginning, and their faith has been deepened as they’ve watched God give birth to this church. Kevin attended the University of Illinois and graduated in 1979 with a B.S. in mathematics, and then received a Masters of Christian Studies from Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia. He has been on staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship since 1985, serving students in New England and Washington, DC. He thoroughly enjoys conversations and relationships with people very different from himself where he can wrestle with truth issues from different perspectives. ‘Neanderthals Aren’t Cool’ for Touchstone Magazine, by Kevin Offner |

| Michael Schafer, Ruling Elder A hungry Michael entered Grace DC in 2003, needing to be fed. Over the years, God’s buffet table was overwhelming and stretched to the horizon — God’s claim that Michael had a place at His table became real. Today, through the hearts of individuals at Grace DC, Michael has been blessed to witness the power of Christ to seek mercy and justice for others no matter how poor or rich. Michael’s delight doesn’t stop there as he and his wife, Inger, enjoy producing a off-broadway show about two little girls in a Brookland condo — no screenplay, just plenty of rehearsals. |
